Although the promotion of recreational boating safety and support of other     U.S. Coast Guard programs is serious business, a tenet of the Auxiliary is "Have Fun" while doing it.

Flotilla 18-08 tries to mix fun with work. At the annual Change of Watch, Summer Picnic, and Christmas Party, we try to make a concerted effort to get together and have fun with each other. Fellowship is not only a sense of belonging, but also a means of social gathering and enjoying each other's company. We also sponsor summer family get togethers and on-the-water raft-ins on an irregular basis.
